Legal Action

Taking your case one step further

Ideally, all disputes would be resolved without the need for legal intervention, but as we all know this is not the case. While here at Law on the Web we strive to inform you of your rights and responsibilities under the law, we also know that sometimes you have no choice but to take legal action against someone, or take steps to defend yourself if they are bringing a case against you.

Finding the right solicitor is only part of the story though, and in some cases it's even possible to resolve a legal issue without bringing a lawyer into the picture. Our Legal Action section is intended to advise you on the possible paths you could take and how to proceed.

Currently we offer information on the following:

  • Mediation - a way of settling disputes without resorting to a costly and protracted lawsuit, mediation involves the intervention of a professional negotiator to help the affected parties reach an outcome which is acceptable to both of them
  • Small Claims Court - for situations where large amounts of money are not at stake, you may wish to have your case brought before a small claims court
