N16A Application for Injunction
An Injunction is a court order which compels someone to perform a specific task (called a “mandatory injunction”) or prohibits them from undertaking a specific activity (called a “prohibitive Injunction”). For example, an injunction can be used to force someone to perform a contractual obligation which they have agreed to, or prevent someone from using their property in a way which causes nuisance to their neighbours. A person who fails to comply with an injunction commits an offence of "Contempt of Court" and can be fined or imprisoned.
This form is for use when asking the court to grant either a mandatory or prohibitive injunction.
