Declaration of Trust in Relation to Shares

A declaration of trust can be used by someone who is the registered holder of shares in a company in order to create a trust of those shares in favour of the beneficiaries. Through a trust shares can be protected before they pass on to their intended beneficiary.

This may be useful where, for example, the beneficiaries wish to preserve their privacy, or where the beneficiaries are minors and are therefore incapable of holding the shares in their own right.

Our template declaration of trust document is just one of many legal documents composed by legal experts which we offer for free in our Law Library. You do not need to concern yourself about the legal technicalities, as all this is dealt with for you. Your only task is to fill in your personal details to complete the document.
