Claiming compensation for diseases contracted at work
Many industrial jobs can be very hazardous and may expose us to the risk of contracting many industrial diseases. In the event that somebody has fallen foul of one of these diseases at their workplace, they may have a claim for compensation against their employer if adequate safety measures were not put in place.
Among industrial diseases there are some more commonplace ailments such as leukemia, cataracts, deafness and cancer. There are also some less well-known conditions that can be claimed for such as byssinosis and vibration white finger.
