formerly in private practice in the UK. We hope you find the site useful and easy to use. We
are constantly updating and adding legal advice and information, so why not bookmark this
page and return if and when you need us, and don't forget to tell your friends
we're here.

Stuff
and nonsense........
Our busiest month ever
(3 February 2010)
As we move into our 11th year online it is pleasing to see that January 2010 was
the site's busiest month ever, with 66.997 unique visitors to the site. That
means that almost 67,000 separate individuals looked us up at sometime during
January. I guess we must be doing something right!
Compensation for Injury
(11th November 2009)
Accident Direct help make an accident claim for compensation under no win no fee. 100% compensation guaranteed.
Driving using
a Mobile Phone (15th October 2009)
Every driver must know by now that it is against the law to drive and
use a handheld mobile phone, but if you just pick up your phone and
look at to see who is calling or see the time, or you are stationary
in a traffic jam, are you still guilty? The police think so, but we
have a panel of solicitors who have successfully defended drivers in
these situations.
What constitutes using a mobile
phone in your car? Click on these words to find out more.
Claiming Compensation (17 April 2009)
After an injury you may be feeling the strain of paying for medical
bills, being off work, and trying to go about your normal life with
your injury.
For advice on claiming compensation to help you through these tough
times, speak to National Accident Helpline's
personal injury
claim solicitors today.
Readers (25 January 2008)
As we complete our 9th year in business on the net we are pleased
to say that last year (2007) we helped more people than ever before.
648,512 unique individuals visited the site last year, which was 30%
up on the year before when we fell just short of half a million
readers. We'd like to thank everyone who uses the site, uses the
solicitors that we work with, and tells others about us.
Need a divorce solicitor? (9 July 2007)
Check out our panel of specialist
divorce and family law solicitors, who are experts in this
particular field of law. It may be that you just need an answer to a
question that you cannot resolve for yourself, or you just need to be
reassured that you are doing the right thing. If so then you can speak
with one of our panel on the telephone for a one-off fixed fee of £40.
Its simple to sort out - see our divorce
pages here.
Mobile phone law
change
(27 February 2007)
From today if you are caught using your handheld mobile phone
while driving your car then you are liable to get 3 points and a £60
fine. It may not seem like much but with more speed cameras and
traffic light cameras than ever, keeping points off your licence and
your insurance premiums down, and even keeping hold of your licence
itself is more difficult than ever. If you find yourself in trouble
check out our Road Law pages with solicitors
who can help out of you need them.
The Tax Bookshop
(2 February 2006)
OK its not the sexiest subject in the world, and so its also
probably not the
sexiest bookshop in the world, but if you'd like to pay less
tax (err...let me think....) then take a look at some of the
sensible, practical and easy-to-read self-help tax books available in
our new
Tax Bookshop. You can buy the hard copy or download the e-book
onto your laptop to read on the train, at work or on the beach!
Severing a Joint
Tenancy
(11 November 2005)
We have drafted a notice severing a joint tenancy; the letter to send
it with and instructions on how to use them. They are available
here.
Hedges
(1 June 2005)
We get a lot of questions about hedges, fences, borders, right to
light and general neighbour problems. As from today you can now ask
your local authority to get involved if you want you neighbour to keep
the size of their hedge (any evergreen hedge) below 2 metres, but you
will have to pay them for the privilege. Will this resolve the
problems of massive hedges? Probably only in the most extreme of
cases, but we will wait and see.
