Founded in the 1870s by Henry Glaisyer, the practice boasts the most up to date technology and business practices, as well as lawyers who are recognised experts in their fields.
The criminal law department is one of the premier legal groups in the country. It is the largest department in the firm and offers expert advice on every aspect of the criminal law. Specialities include serious crimes and white-collar offences including serious fraud, Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise cases. The department also has particular expertise in licensing, motoring offences and juvenile crime. Many 'high profile' Court of Appeal cases are handled and daily appearances are made in both the Magistrates and Crown Courts.
The firm has four specialist departments - criminal, civil litigation, family and private client.
After achieving its Legal Aid Franchise in many categories of the law in 1998, the firm now boasts an all classes Criminal Defence Service Contract and a Legal Services Commission Contract for family, matrimonial and civil litigation.
