Subject Access Request

In these Orwellian days of surveillance and databases, it’s important that we have the capacity to check up on what information is being stored about us. That’s why the Data Protection Act is in place, ensuring that people are able to check on any personal data a company or organisation may be holding. This obliges the company in question to release to us the relevant records.

If you’d like to file such an enquiry, known as a Subject Access Request, we’ve developed a simple way to do so. We offer, absolutely free of charge, a simple form letter which can be used under the Data Protection Act 1998 to request copies of all personal data which a company or other organization holds in relation to you.

No legal knowledge is needed, all you have to do is fill out your details where prompted on the letter and send it off. It couldn’t be easier, and there’s no better way to safeguard your right to privacy.
