D80B Statement in Support of Divorce/Dissolution/(Judicial) Separation - Unreasonable Behaviour

When applying for a decree nisi in the midst of divorce proceedings, the petitioner’s application form must be accompanied by a statement confirming that everything said in the petition is true. This form is for making such a statement when the reason for the divorce is unreasonable behaviour. There are different forms for all the five facts of divorce, so be sure you are using the right one.

The petitioner should answer all the questions and then sign the statement of truth. Then this form should be sent to the court with a copy of the respondent’s response to the divorce petition. Note that anyone who makes a false statement supported by a statement of truth can have contempt of court proceedings brought against them.

The judge will use this statement in conjunction with the decree nisi application to decide whether or not to grant a decree nisi.

This form can be downloaded directly from the government website here.
