Q: I am a Petty Officer in the Royal Navy. I have been employed with the Navy for 31 years. I believe I have not been promoted as I am not prepared to go to sea. I signed a form 20 years ago stating that I will not go to sea, and I have therefore been overlooked for promotion. I believe I should be at least a Chief Petty Officer. I have been through the Navy complaints procedure but the Navy say that there is no evidence of discrimination. What shall I do?
