Q: I parked my car for three hours in a car park that had a limit of an hour and a half. A parking charge noticed was issued by an independent parking company. I was unaware I was parked in a time limited-facility. What are my options?
A: A parking charge notice is only enforceable with a county court order. Your options would be to ignore the charge, pay it, or refuse to pay and ask for evidence and authority. A further option would be to send a cheque for a full and final settlement. It is at your discretion how to proceed.
