Q: I have a 15-year-old working for me during the summer holidays. What hours can they work?
A: During the school holidays, children can work a maximum of 35 hours per week. A week that involves a school day changes this to a maximum of 12 hours per week. They cannot work more than 2 hours per day on a school day or a Sunday. The current minimum wage for an under 18 is £3.68 per hour.
