Q: My company just moved to a new office. There is one toilet on the premises, but there is no hand basin - could I make anti-bacterial solution available to my employees instead of having a hand basin?
A: No – you are legally required to provide a proper hand basin for your employees.
My employee has been on maternity leave and is due to come back soon. Recently the rotas have changed and it was agreed by members of staff including this employee that the rota would be 11-12 week rotas. My employee has now put in a request for flexibility. I have looked into this and it would result in other members of staff either losing 4 hours per week or having to work an extra weekend. What shall I do about this?
